Our Harmony With Horses programs are built on 10 Pillars for building healthy relationships. Whether the focus is on building human to human relationships or human to animal, these 10 building blocks are very important.
Trust
To believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
Commitment
Who or what we chose to share ourselves, time, attention, energy, and most importantly our lives with.
Intimacy
Becoming comfortable enough around others to share our thoughts and feelings.
Respect
The mutual mirroring of emotions, feelings, and beliefs. What I see in you is just as important as what I see in myself.
Communication
Verbal and non-verbal, tone, listening without judgment, and corrective criticism without alienation and anguish.
Empathy
Having the ability to feel what another person is feeling. Walking in someone else's shoes.
Equality
Not only do we work together, but we are also given the same resources or opportunities.
Equity
Ability to recognize the different circumstances within a relationship and be willing to provide the necessary resources and opportunities to reach an equal outcome.
Patience
Ability to calmly wait for a long time without becoming annoyed or upset. Recognizing and rewarding processes while working towards a better outcome.
Courage
Conquering vulnerability and fear to try something different. Taking steps to initiate, maintain and if necessary peacefully terminate a relationship.
Since June 2017, we have provided Equine activities for our African American children and their families. For years Equestrian training and sporting competitions like dressage, show jumping, reining, rodeo, and barrel racing was affordable and participated by those in the white upper class and British society.
The twenty-first century is pushing a change in the ideology of what equality and equity should look like. And EveryThing Horses is a part of the change. Our goal is to reach and teach as many of our black and brown skin children about horsemanship and sportsmanship, so they can participate in local and state wide competitions. We will help them discover the beautiful benefits of being a member of the Equestrian Community.
As a part of our program, we support academic excellence programs of all ages and grades, including traditional and non-traditional college students studying veterinary medicine, any of the behavioral sciences, as well as programs in the horse community.
